Yacht Delivery Schedule of Rates

Cleat and dockline
Sample Delivery Contract

Crew Required

To ensure the safe and successful completion of your vessel delivery, we require a captain and at least one deckhand for most deliveries. While most deliveries necessitate a captain and at least one deckhand, smaller local trips may only need a captain. Larger vessels may necessitate additional crew members. For offshore passages exceeding 18 hours, a minimum of two deckhands is mandatory.

Current Rates

CAPTAIN:: Starting at $455.00 per day.

DECKHAND : $240.00 per day.

Fees

  • Provisions: A daily per diem of $58.00 per person covers food and water while onboard. Please note that rates may vary depending on location and specific dietary requirements.
  • Travel and Other Costs:
    • Transportation: Vessel owner will provide round-trip transportation for our crew members using practical methods such as rental cars, trains, or airfare. This includes travel to and from your vessel's departure and destination points, with our base of operations located in Southeast Virginia. This will be included in the estimate of costs.
    • Accommodations: If your vessel lacks suitable berthing facilities, we will arrange accommodations at your expense. This includes hotel or motel stays and associated transportation. Additional accommodations may be necessary during travel to and from the vessel.
    • Crew Travel Pay: This fee is calculated based on the distance and duration of travel, as well as available transportation options and will be charged as 1/2 or full day pay per above rates.
  • Fuel Cost: All fuel, oil, and other consumables used during the voyage are the responsibility of the vessel owner. To facilitate fuel purchases and marina fees when you are not onboard, we require a credit card or deposit to cover these expenses.
  • Dockage Fees: We do not add any additional charges to marina dockage fees. For power vessels traveling the Intracoastal Waterway, marina fees are likely to apply. To optimize efficiency and crew comfort, we prioritize marina berths over anchorage whenever possible.
  • Deposit: A deposit equal to approximately one-third of the estimated total cost is required to secure your booking and assign crew members. This deposit must be paid in full at least four days prior to the departure date.

Cost Breakdown Example

Please note that this is an estimated breakdown based on anticipated boat speed. Actual costs may vary.

For a hypothetical five-day delivery requiring one captain and one deckhand, the estimated costs would be as follows:

  • Crew:
    • Captain: $455/day x 5 days = $2,275
    • Deckhand: $240/day x 5 days = $1,200
    • Total crew cost: $3,475
  • Provisions: $58/person/day x 2 people x 5 days = $580
  • Crew Travel: (Example: $1,042.50, based on distance and travel time)
  • Travel Expenses: (Example: $850, for transportation to and from the vessel)
  • Estimated Total: (Example: $3,475 + $580 + $1,042.50 + $850 = $5,947.50)

Additional Costs:

Any out-of-pocket expenses incurred during the delivery process, such as tips for marina dockhands, ice, motor oil, or transportation for parts and supplies, will be added to the final bill.

Payment:

The final payment, which includes the balance of the estimated cost, travel expenses, and any additional charges, is due upon completion of the delivery or termination of our services.

Safety:

We prioritize safety and adhere to industry best practices. We typically conduct Intracoastal Waterway transits during daylight hours, while offshore passages may require overnight travel depending on vessel capabilities and crew numbers.

Boating Safety

We take safety seriously and will request a list of safety equipment onboard as well as a copy of any recent surveys, if available.
